ARDIS system for commercial inspection of railcars at TNK Kazkhrom JSC

In November 2022, Mallenom Systems company together with partner Avtomatika-service LLC successfully implemented the ARDIS system at the Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant in Kazakhstan. The project was aimed at automating key operations for inspection and accounting of railway transport.

The system was installed at one point on the railway track and integrated with the enterprise's internal accounting processes. ARDIS performs automatic recognition of railcar numbers (from sides and frames), carries out photo and video recording of each railcar’s passage, and also maintains an accurate count of the number of cars in the train. All information is stored in the database and can be used for analysis and reporting.

Technical configuration of the system:

• 5 high-resolution cameras with floodlights
• Server equipment
• Switching cabinet
• ARDIS software

Implementation results:

• Reduction of wagon inspection time
• Minimization of human factor influence in accounting
• Simplification of claims work through photo and video recording
• Increased accuracy of rolling stock data

The project implementation at TNK Kazchrome became another example of applying Mallenom Systems’ technologies for automation of railway logistics at large industrial enterprises.
