The VISCONT film quality control system was successfully implemented at the blown film production line at TERIKA plant In May 2024. The implementation of this solution took 7 months.
The system was set up on an existing production line with a throughput of up to 3 m/sec and currently provides quality control of 2000 mm wide film of various colors.
The VISCONT.Roll materials software has automated the process of film quality control during its production with an automatic algorithm for the illumination threshold adjustment. The algorithm allows for quick identification of holes and half-holes with 1 mm length or more, detection of foreign particles (inclusions), riffles and creases in the sheet.
The system is a hardware and software complex consisting of a linear camera for machine vision, a specialized illuminator and VISCONT software.
The VISCONT AWS software is utilized for the operator's convenience. It displays the current process of defect identification on the web, the total statistics of defects detected during the session, as well as allows to view images and data on each defect in the log history.
The system additionally emits a warning signal when the permissible defect detecting parameters are exceeded.
