In autumn 2025, Mallenom Systems completed the implementation of the EYECONT video analytics system at a secondary vocational education institution. The project was carried out in partnership with SIKURS LLC.
The objective was to enhance safety for students and staff while modernizing the outdated analog surveillance system by transitioning to modern IP equipment and intelligent video stream analysis.
As part of the deployment, 103 surveillance cameras were installed, 28 of which operate with video analytics modules.
EYECONT analyzes video streams from IP cameras. When a firearm or abandoned object appears in the frame, the system generates an alarm event. At the security post, an audible alert is triggered, the incident video channel is displayed on a dedicated monitor, and the detection zone is highlighted in red.
The system includes a configurable time threshold for abandoned object detection, which can be adjusted as needed.
A key stage of the project involved collecting and preparing a dataset to train the neural network model. Data collection was carried out directly on-site and reflected real operating conditions, including outdoor operation across different times of day, seasons, and varying weather conditions.
Deployment of the video analytics system enables the customer to receive alerts about potentially dangerous situations and promptly notify responsible personnel, significantly improving overall safety at the educational institution.
